Cremation Jewelry – Frequently Asked Questions
Keeping their memory close, in a quiet and personal way.
A: Yes. Very common. Most people have never done anything like this before. Each order includes a Ceremony Care Kit™ with a small funnel and step-by-step instructions. People usually take their time with it at home, when they feel ready. If you don’t want to do it yourself, a funeral director can help. That’s often what people choose. There’s no required way to do it.
A: A very small amount. Usually around 1/8 to 1/4 teaspoon. It’s meant for a symbolic portion, not all of the ashes. Some people also use a bit of hair or dried flowers instead.
A: No. From the outside, it looks like regular, high-quality jewelry. The chamber is fully hidden and sealed inside. Most people don’t mention it unless they choose to share the story.
A: Physically, no. There’s a small threaded opening and a funnel included. Emotionally, it can feel like a big moment for some people. Others find it straightforward. People usually do it quietly at home, in their own time. If needed, a funeral home can assist.
A: Yes. Many people do. It’s made for regular wear, but it still needs basic care like any fine jewelry. Some wear it daily. Some only on certain days. Both are normal.
A: No. It can handle light moisture, but not showers, swimming, or saunas. We recommend removing it before water exposure to protect the seal and the sacred contents inside.
A: Mainly 316L stainless steel and 925 sterling silver. 316L Stainless Steel is hypoallergenic and very low maintenance. 925 Sterling Silver will naturally darken (patina) over time, and can be polished back with the cloth included in your kit.
A: Yes. It’s treated like regular jewelry at security checkpoints. Some people carry documentation for peace of mind, but it’s usually not needed for wearable pieces.
A: It depends on how you want to feel that connection. Rings are more visible to yourself as you work or move. Necklaces stay centered and close to the heart. Bracelets are subtle and move naturally with your hand. Most people just pick what feels natural for their routine.
